One of my best friends just had her son come home from Iraq. (Did you read about it on my blog? If not, check it out...I think it's the type of thing you'd enjoy.)

Anyway, it's GREAT for her to have him home, but you can tell he's having to make some difficult adjustments emotionally. The life of a force-recon marine is not easy (or of any soldier, for that matter).

P.S. to you Natalie. Thanks, as usual, for your neat comment on my blog. I'm not surprised to hear you and your mother-in-law have a great relationship. I would guess you have many of the attributes that I love in my d-i-l! (Sweet as she is, she can be pretty feisty, too...though she is a California "surfer girl" and not a southern "belle.")
