Heavy Heart

September 29, a family friend paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Please keep this dear family in your thoughts and prayers. I love them and am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Senior Airman Mark Forester.

Click to read Tribute to an American Hero - Mark Forester, beautifully written by one of Mark's best friends.

Well, you and I just got off the phone for the 2nd time due to the tears and inability to talk.

There is nothing I can say, profound or wise. All that I can say, is that today a mother's heart is broken by, what I believe would be, unbearable pain. Yet, somewhere deep in that mother's heart joy and pride of a son who was willing pay the price for mother's everywhere to love their children.

Our family is blessed to know the Forester family. And to this brave young soldier's family I say thank you for the man you helped him become in his life. And to Mark Forester, I bow my head and thank God for you and the sacrifice you were willing to make for all of us...for freedom. God Bless...

What a sad loss. It's hard to have my family safe here- home from his tour, and see that someone else isn't coming home. He's a true hero

Thank you for your kind words. I adore Patsy. I am so very glad your husband came home to you safe. My thanks to him for his service. From one military wife to another, I know our husbands will be blessed for their thankless service, and I believe Mark is in a very special place in Paradise. God Bless.

I'm sad for your loss - and indeed OUR loss. Where would we be without these brave young soldiers? We owe so much to them and their families for their great sacrifice. May God bless all of them, and all of us.
