I wish I knew why parents didn't hold their children accountable, why adults don't take responsibility and why others don't hold one another accountable. It is a failure in our society. <br /><br />Hugs - I really wish I could have one in person. This week for some reason has been particularly difficult for me emotionally. I was impressed that most of the print coverage I read dealt with the heroic effort to render first aid and help others take cover. Selfless acts of courage. I can only imagine how much more dif...Well written.<br />I can only imagine how much more difficult this tragedy has been for active-duty military families like yours. You would think that, of anywhere on earth, on base would be safe. <br />I only hope that the stories of bravery and courage associated with this event live long after the horror has faded. But I hope in vain. Because I lived through the aftermath of 9/11, and how quickly people returned to their old ways of thinking. I know it won't last. It can't.
